For the year of 2013, Mills Fire Department responded to 1395 calls for service. Those calls consisted of 56 fires, 1086 EMS related calls,  84 motor vehicle accidents, 14 rescues, 39 hazardous conditions, 50 service calls, 27 good intent call and 46 false alarms. This number represents an increase of over 25% from last year.
